Unit 4 Le monde qui nous entoure (The world around us)
Planning my future, Migrant experiences, and Youth issues
Students extend their communication skills in French to gain a broader insight into the language and culture of France and francophone countries via selected literature texts, magazine and newspaper articles (including online), feature films, voice recordings, and music. Oral and written skills are developed, plus aural and written comprehension.  Culture is extended through various channels, including conversation practice with a French native speaker.

Details of assessments and examinations will be provided to students at the commencement of the course.
Additional Information:
With globalisation, knowledge of another language is an acknowledged asset. French is an official language in 30 countries, the Olympic Games and at the United Nations.
 
Language Bonus for University Entry
UWA, Curtin, Murdoch and Edith Cowan, plus many interstate universities, offer a 10% ATAR bonus to students taking a language in Year 12. This is added to the scaled score of the language mark.
