Certificate II Community Services Charity Fundraising Events
07 September 2017
As a part of the Certificate II Community Services course, Year 11 students completed a Unit 'Organise and complete daily work activities'. In this Unit the Year 11 students have to form a committee, run a meeting, send emails etc. To make it a worthwhile as well as a more interesting assessment, the students have chosen a charity to fundraise for and donate the profits to. On Thursday 31 August, they prepared and sold Hot Dogs to raise funds for the Cancer Council, and sold Chocolate Brownies for Guide Dogs WA. On Thursday 7 September staff and students were treated to home-made Brownies & Rocky Road to raise funds for Make a Wish Foundation, and Mini Pizzas & Cookies to raise funds for Perth Children's Hospital Foundation.
As a result of the students' planning, organising and running successful marketing campaigns, each charity will receive a donation of $175.
Well done to all involved!!
