Materials Design & Technology Woodwork - Clock Project

14 September 2017

Our Year 11 Materials Design and Technology Woodwork students recently completed a Clock Project.   The students were required to research various designs, investigate materials used for construction, and design their own clock. The design process includes development sketches, orthogonal drawings, material costing sheets and production procedures. They then construct their own clock. The clock themes in the photos are : mantle clock, turbo, hanging orb, reclining kangaroo, Uluru and watch. The watch has a flexible band and was constructed from 29 separate pieces of timber.  Pictured are Cian Threlfall, Joshua Mellows and Matthew Wilson with their completed projects.  Well done to all students on completing work and producing time-pieces of a high standard.
