Our Principal, Peter Lillywhite, would like to welcome you to Duncraig Senior High School.
Duncraig Senior High School provides an exciting educational program for over one thousand secondary students from Duncraig and surrounding areas. The school is situated in the western suburbs on the coastal strip 20 kilometres from Perth and two kilometres from the ocean.
Duncraig caters for a wide range of student interest and aims to develop the whole student through quality teaching, a school-wide pastoral system, a wide range of subject choice in Senior School and specialist programs in Lower School. From the moment of entry, each child learns the skills of communication and leadership.
We have a Gifted and Talented Program which caters for both students across boundaries and our local intake students and an extensive Academic Extension Program with links to the Gifted and Talented Program. Duncraig offers a Specialist Triathlon Program which attracts high achieving sportspersons enabling them to combine a high quality of education with their intensive training schedule.
In Senior School, Duncraig caters for all student pathways through two well supported programs with high rates of success. There is a wide choice of Year 12 ATAR courses for university bound students and a specialised tutoring program which has been highly successful in assisting students gain their first choice at university. We also run an outstanding VET program for students who prefer a TAFE pathway and again our students enjoy a high rate of success in entry to the course of their choice.
As an Independent Public School, we are fortunate to have a supportive School Board as well as a hard working P&C who collaborate to improve our already beautiful setting and our teaching resources, including our outstanding information technology resources.
At Duncraig we provide a safe and caring learning community. Our students graduate with the skills and attitudes that ensure success in the 21st century.
Mr. Peter Lillywhite
