Duncraig SHS Bush Rangers WA is a Cadet Unit operated as part of the initiative of the Department of Communities (Cadets W.A.) and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (Bush Rangers W.A.)
The Unit has been established since the inception of the program in 1998 and promotes environmental understanding, conservation actions along with team and leadership development. We encourage Cadets to work cooperatively and communicate freely with us about our activities and their goals.
The Cadet Program provides students with:
- Up to three units accreditation towards Year 12 Graduation
- Applying Senior First Aid Certificate by Year 10, 11 or 12 Cadets
- Duke of Edinburgh Award can be accomplished through Cadets
- An exciting and engaging program including camps, excursions, and incursions
Cadets meet once a week at school with activities being conducted on site, in local bush areas, venues and facilities, as well as at regional destinations including Moore River, Mundaring and Yanchep National Park.
Year 7 Applications can be received after December 12 and are due early in the school year, by Friday of Week 2, Term 1. Please lodge via Duncraig SHS Bush Ranger Cadets Sign Up.
Application is $40.00 and includes a Bush Ranger shirt. Applications will be considered at the first Instructors Meeting within a couple of days of applications closing.
